Girls Generation recent achievements in Japan have reached an all-time high as the Recording Industry of Japan gives them the “Million” certification

In 1989 the Recording Industry of Japan (RIAJ) started certifying albums based on the number of copies shipped with criteria ranging from Gold (100,000), Platinum (250,000), Double-Platinum (500,000), Triple Platinum (750,000), Million (1,000,000) and Multi-Million (2,000,000).

Girls Generation-SNSD first Japanese Album, Girls’ Generation, recently garnered the prestigious recognition and now joins fellow SM label mate BoA as the only Korean artists to have reached such a pinnacle.

Other artists that have earned the “Million” RIAJ certification include Lady Gaga, Aerosmith, Backstreet Boys, Eric Clapton, Celine Dion, Avril Lavigne, and more...

Needless to say, this is a fantastic boon for Girls Generation as they prepare for their Paparazzi Single that is set for release later this month.

Girls Generation-SNSD Promotional Photo For ‘GiRL’ Fragrance

It’s D-3 for 10-Corso-Como’s Girls Generation-SNSD ‘GiRL’ fragrance to be released and above is today’s photo!

The collaboration launching party which will be taking place on June 7th is held in conjunction with the collaboration project between perfume brand ‘GiRL’ and Asian leading lifestyle concept store ’10 Corso Como Seoul’. The event will be attended by Girls Generation-SNSD and other famous figures.

Girls Generation-SNSD are the models for ‘GiRL’ by ‘Master of Perfume’, Gerard Anthony which comes in 3 special fragrances namely Lily Magnolia, Wisteria and Delphinium. At this event, aromatic candles are expected to be unveiled as well.

All products of ‘GiRL’ will be available exclusively at 10 Corso Como Cheongdam flagship, AvenueL and online stores starting June 8th.

Girls Generation SNSD Releases ‘Paparazzi’ Album Jacket

Girls Generation-SNSD is back with another single to dominate the Japanese music industry again this summer. Following their 3rd Japanese single ‘Mr.Taxi’, the girls will be releasing their 4th Japanese single ‘Paparazzi’ on June 27th.

In addition to the PV teaser, which already received over 1 million views on Youtube, Girls Generation-SNSD revealed two album jacket photos on their official Japanese website. The single will come in three editions; First Press Special Limited Edition, Regular Edition (CD + DVD) and Regular Edition (CD only). There are also a total of 5 versions of the video, in which 3 are on sale. For the limited first press edition, the music video commentary and the behind the scenes for the MV are compiled together into a 2 set large newspaper photo booklet. Photos during the time of the MV recording and members’ Q&A are also included. The MVs will be viewable at any time on the official Facebook/YouTube page after its release.
